Engage your audience > Gaming Business Strategy

And we’re back.

Week three of the Gaming Retreat here in Madeira.

The weather is getting warmer, the teams are already in cruise control mode, and the projects are growing exponentially.

So, it’s no wonder that the week started with everyone on some infectious high spirits.

And also, as if by a higher design, we were also happy to welcome, straight from Turkey, Ekrem Atamer – Lead Community Manager at Funcom -; a very knowledgeable professional, and a very sweet person. Ekrem, his a very calm and chill person, so with was easy for everyone to connect with him.

Better yet, with his vast know-how in the gaming industry, he was able to share with everyone some new insights on community management but, most importantly, he was able to dive deep into the financial department. After all, business is business, and everyone is also very interested in learning more on how to stroll in that territory.

Little by little, and as the most of the general doubts were being answered, the lunch hour arrived and everyone kept on with their plans.

In the afternoon, like always, all the startups had the chance to have a one-on-one meeting with Ekrem, where they shared their projects and goals, as well as received some feedback, and some much more personalized guiding lights, on how to better develop their companies. These meetings with the mentors were definitely a wining recipe and everyone is growing a lot every day.

And like that, the day quickly came to an end, and another level has been conquered. After last week’s madness, it was cool to get back to work on a more laid back note, and restore some normalcy in everyone’s day-to-day life.

Calm seas and fair winds ahead.
