March the 5th.
Tuesday.
The quaint monastery, nestled in the center of the city, seemed untouched by the passage of time. Neighbors greeted each other with warm smiles, and the scent of food wafted through the air. Yet, beneath the facade of idyllic simplicity, the shadows are gathering.
Deep within the city’s ancient monastery, our teams convened for the second day of the third week of the retreat and, as such, a new mentor is entering the fray.
Today, we had the pleasure of hosting Ekrem Atamer – Lead Community Manager at Funcom – a laid-back individual with over ten years of industry experience. Ekram took the lead in a workshop that delved into the art of translating ideas into visually compelling designs on how to grow a community.
As the morning hours drew to a close, brains buzzing with inspiration, the lunch break emerged as a refreshing change of pace.
In the afternoon, the teams engaged in their traditional one-on-one mentoring sessions with Ekram. This offered them a chance to individually present their projects and, in return, receive priceless feedback.
As the mentoring sessions neared their end, the teams, one by one, exited the venue. The serenity brought by the solitude of silence enveloped the time-honored halls of the monastery. What had resonated with activity just a short while ago now rested in the chilly night of the island, settling into a quiet repose.
The night fell; the streets got quiet; the shadows grow stronger.
Still, no sign of the evil announced.
Yet…
